6 Table Lamp Styles That Are Still Popular

They say we hardly ever write letters anymore, and most of our communication is on phone or through the internet. And so writing tables are no longer needed, since we wouldn’t use them anyway. But people who have a taste for the good things disagree. When decorating their homes, a number of people still opt for a nice Barbados coffee table or two in their living rooms, to give their home that much needed touch of class. And where there is a table, can a table lamp be far behind? Let us take a look at some of the different types of table lamps available nowadays:

1. The swing arm table lamp used to be a staple for students studying for their examinations a couple of decades earlier. It consists of two foldable arms which allow you to point the light at any direction on the table. This is of less decorative use that as a lighting aid when you are trying to focus on something on your table.

2. One of the most useful type of glass table lamp Barbados is called the organizer desk lamp. Apart from the arm which holds the light bulb, it also has pockets and sleeves which help you keep your other stuff in, like pens, notepads, Post-it notes, and other stationery.

3. Many people keep a clip-on desk lap which they can attach to their Barbados side table as and when they need it and can store away elsewhere when they don’t. It contains a clamp or a clip at the end of it which can be used to affix it to the edge of the table.

4.  A slightly more contemporary style of a table lamp is called a mid-century modern lamp. The bulb is encased in a round and slightly opaque holder, which in turn is affixed to the U-shaped holder, which allows the bulb to hover just about the table.

5. The ‘tiffany’ is a style that will probably never go out of style, and yet if you actually own an original Tiffany Barbados table lamp, you can count yourself one of the lucky ones. The ones that are available now are not as costly as the vintage ones, but they still look as attractive.

6. One more style that is still popular is called a gooseneck table lamp because it has the metallic holder that is flexible and connects the base to the bulb holder.
